Polycrystalline refractory fiber is a new type of high-temperature thermal insulation material developed after amorphous refractory fiber in the early 1970s. It is mainly used in high-temperature kilns with working temperatures above 1400°C, which can save energy by 25% to 40%. Polycrystalline refractory fiber can also be used as a composite reinforcement material and catalyst carrier with good application effect. Polycrystalline refractory fiber can also be used in aerospace missiles and atomic energy fields. The polycrystalline refractory fibers that have been industrially produced and applied internationally mainly include polycrystalline alumina fiber (Al2O380% to 90%, SiO221% to 20%), polycrystalline mullite fiber (Al2O372% to 79%, SiO221% to 28%) and polycrystalline zirconia fiber (ZrO292%, Y2O38%).
